Printed in the latter part of 1923. No. 211 (5 ct with no watermarks) came about because of a defective process in the manufacture of the watermarked paper with parquetry design (Wm. 5). In afull sheet the watermarks gradualy fade out towards the bottom of the sheet. It happened similarlywith the two New Currency Air Post stamps (Mi 220 and 222). |
